Stand-offs are very useful for creating overlapping wall light compositions, as they allow for different levels in relation to the wall.

Placed behind the wall light that sits in front of another, the stand-off creates an elevation, so that the wall lights do not touch and are elegantly positioned in relation to each other.

If your composition includes 2 overlapping wall lights, you will need one stand-off, in the color of the wall light that will be in front.
