Tomas Kral launched his studio in Lausanne in 2009. He draws his inspiration from traditions and seeks to infuse his objects with a refreshing sense of surprise and humour.
The Lubin mirror was developed excusively by Tomas Kral for Hartô. The flourish in the shape of a circumflex accent is a not-so-subtle nod to the name of our brand, Hartô. Kral is a graduate of the prestigious Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (ECAL), earning a BA in industrial design in 2006 apostgraduate degree in design in 2008. In 2009, he rounded his formal education with a degree in MAS design and luxury industry at ECAL. His work has been widely recognised, picking up the Leitz innovation & design award in Germany, the Federal Design Award in March 2010 in Bern, and the Red Dot Design Award in 2018 over the years.
